James Thomas “Tommy” McCormick, 65 of Clay, KY passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Baptist Health in Madisonville, KY.
He was founder of Custom Engineering Inc. where he was president for 40 years. He was a Kentucky Colonel. He was a devoted family man and was very active in his community. He was a member of Clay Jachin Lodge #739 and a member of the VFW Mens Auxiliary in Providence, KY. He loved the outdoors, collecting cars and was an avid boater.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years Freda McCormick of Clay, KY his mother Pauline McCormick of Clay, KY 1 Daughter Aundrea Towery and her husband Dewayne of Madison, Alabama 1 Son Craig McCormick and his wife Allison of Clay, KY 5 Grandchildren Kaileen, Kathryn, Carrie Grace, Kolby, and Joel Thomas.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the First General Baptist Church in Clay, KY with Bro. Earl Reeves and Bro. Jerry Simpson officiating. Burial will be in New Clay Cemetery in Clay, KY. Masonic Rites will be conducted at the gravesite. Visitation will be Friday, January 6, 2017 1:00 PM til 8:00 PM at the First General Baptist Church in Clay, KY and 9:00 AM til service time on Saturday at the church.
