Cecil Dale Pierce, 76 of Morganfield, fomerly of Clay, Passed away Monday, February 12, 2024 at his residence. Cecil was born in Dawson Springs on September 28, 1947 to the late Arthur and Mary Pierce. Cecil was in the United State Navy and was in Vietnam, he was a coal miner and worked for more than 25 years at Pyro.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife Brenda in 2008 and his second wife Carolyn in 2021.
Survivors include 2 sons Steve Pierce (Lisa) of Owensboro, Dale Pierce (Sarah) of Morganfield, 2 step-daughters Stefanie Schmidt (Andy), Stacy Donnelly, 2 step-sons Steven Sztapka (Anna), Stan Sztapka (Lisa0, 7 grandchildren Andrew Pierce (Carissa), Ethan Pierce, Meredith Pierce, Cory Pierce, Quintin Pierce, Cali Pierce, Kian Pierce, 2 great-grandchildren Alex and Val Pierce and he was very fond of all his step-grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with Brother Clyde Vos officiating. Burial will be in New clay Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 9:30 AM till service time at the funeral home.
