COVID-19 Update

COVID-19 continues to alter our lives in ways we never imagined. As we share this information with our families we serve, just please remember we are all in this together. We promise that we would cooperate, listen and follow CDC, local, state and federal guidelines on how we can protect the families, our staff and the public.

We have received notice from the Funeral Directors Association of KY of the new state recommendations for funeral services. While we recognize the importance of allowing families the opportunity to grieve and receive support from friends, it is also imperative that we follow state recommendations to keep the public safe. We want to share the options that will be available to the families we serve.

Visitations and services will be private with no times and dates published. This will allow for immediate family the ability to participate while following CDC guidelines on restricting gatherings and also social distancing.

Vanover Funeral Home will offer the families in addition to each private service, the option to hold a memorial service later on after the restrictions have been lifted at no additional cost to the family. We know how important it is to share time with co-workers and close friends.

We also have our website www.vanoverfuneralhome.com that will allow friends and family the option to leave a condolence to the family in their time of loss.

Funeral arrangements can still be made at our funeral home with a small number of family members present to make those arrangements or you have the option to give those details to us over the phone or by email (vanovertc@bellsouth.net).

We will work hard each day to make sure our funeral home is cleaned and sanitized. We will have hand sanitizer and wipes available in different locations throughout the funeral home. We are practicing all necessary safety measures to protect our family, staff and community as we continue to serve the public 24 hours a day in such troubling times.
