Betty Frank Charles" Granny" Mitchell, 92, of Clay KY passed away Wednesday December 12, 2018 at Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson KY. She was member of The First Baptist Church in Clay KY and was a Sunday School teacher there for many years. She spent her life working in the family farming business. She was one of the first founders in what is now the Clay Pantomime which began as Down at Papa Joes. She is preceded in death by her husband William Essell Mitchell, 1 sister Susan Elaine Charles, and 2 half Brothers Harold and Howard Hughes.
Survivors include 2 sons Mark Mitchell (Marilyn) of Clay KY and John Mitchell (Sheri) of Clay Kentucky. 6 Grandchildren Meredith Steiner( Richard) of Clay KY, Mendi Jackson(Brannon) of Clay KY, Shane Mitchell(Jessica) of Clay, KY, Brad Mitchell(Lindsey) of Clay KY, Micah Mitchell (Leah) of Clay KY, and Katie Shelton (Derek) of Clay KY.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday December 15, 2018 at The First Baptist Church in Clay KY with Bro James Taylor and Bro Jeff McMain Officiating. Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery in Clay, KY. Visitation will be Friday December 14, 2018 at The First Baptist Church in Clay KY from 2:00 PM till 8:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM til service time at the church. 22 Great Grandchildren
