Robert "Bob" Glover, Jr.

   Robert “Bob” Glover, Jr., 71, of Clay passed away Monday, April 1, 2019 at Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson.

Robert was born to the late Robert Lewis Sr. and Margie Rose Glover on February 14, 1948 in Fort Benning, GA.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy and was in the Navy during the Vietnam era.  He later worked as a coal miner at Retiki for 25 years and 2 years at Ken America.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years Sharon Glover, 2 daughters Melissa Love (Randy) of Slaughters and Melinda Glover of Clay, 1 sister Betty Blackburn (Roger) of Clay 2 grandchildren Brett and Miranda Love and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the First General Baptist Church in Clay with Bro. Johnny Hibbs officiating.  Visitation will be Wednesday, April 3, 2019 4:00 PM til 8:00 PM at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay and Thursday 10:00 AM til service time at the church.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to First General Baptist Church Building Fund, P O Box 350, Clay, KY 42404 and St. Anthony’s Hospice, 2410 South Green Street, Henderson, KY 42420 envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
