Allen "Whistle" Shelton, 87, of Clay, KY passed away on Friday January, 30 2015 at Lucy Smith King Center in Henderson, KY. He was United States Army veteran. He was a member of the Webb Memorial United Methodist Church in Clay, KY. He was co-owner of Central Auto sales and service in Clay, KY., from 1957 until his retirement in 1991. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Christine Shelton of Clay, KY., 2 Sons Allen Lee Shelton and Gary Dee Shelton both of Clay, KY 2 Sisters Alma Aldridge of Martin, TN and Elizabeth McCormick of Sharon, TN 3 Grandchildren and 3 Great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Webb Memorial United Methodist Church in Clay, KY with Bro. David Harting and Dr. Brian Small officiating, with burial to follow in Oddfellows Cemetery in Clay, KY. where military honors will be conducted. Visitation will be Monday, February 2, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay, KY and Tuesday from 9:00 AM til service time at Webb Memorial United Methodist Church in Clay.
