Anna C. Newman, 80 of Dixon passed away Friday, October 11, 2024 at Ridgewood Terrace in Madisonville.

Anna was born in Browder, KY on February 18, 1944 to Earl Robert and Nancy Beatrice Thomas.  Anna was originally from Muhlenberg County and moved to Webster County at the age of 17, she was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Dixon.  She accomplished many things during her working career she was a beautician for 10 years, a veterinarian assistant for Dr. Steedly for 10 years, she went to school and became a Registerd Nurse and she owned Trackside Bar B Q in Sullivan.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 27 years Phillip R. Newman, a brother James Earl Thomas and a sister Mary Margott Allen.

Survivors include 1 daughter Justina Scofield (Thomas) of Clay, 1 son Bill Daron Pullam (Jennifer) of Providence, a brother Rudy Thomas (Joann) of Cromwell, 4 grandchildren James Lesley Kubach (Niecie), Tracy Benton (Nicky), Christopher Pullam (Julie), Brandy Wilson, 9 great-grandchildren and her very best friend Mary Johnson.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 1:00 at Vanover Funeral Home with Brother Kerry Smith officiating with burial in Oddfellows Cemetery in Clay.  Visitation will be Tuesday 10:00 AM till service time at the funeral home.
