Barbara Helen Kelley, 84 of Clay passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Princeton Nursing and Rehab in Princeton, KY.
Barbara was born Mattoon on May 23, 1938 to the late James Benjamin and Omega Mae Newcom.
She was a coal miner and worked at Pyro and was affectionately known as "Ma Kelley" then was also known as the "Car Wash Lady" in Morganfield.
Most recently a member of New Hope Independent Church and in the past she was involved with Sturgis First Baptist and Clay First Baptist where she volunteered with children's ministries and in the nursery.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by Morris Dailey Kelley, 2 brothers Ila Newcom and James C. Newcom, 5 sisters Dorothy Gatten, Imogene White, Gwen Hayes, Mary Kanipe, Genny Roby.
Survivors include 3 daughters Ginger Kelley (Kurt) of Roan Mountain, TN, Marcie Whitledge (Danny) of Providence, Barbie Stokes (Mark) of Belmont, NC, 1 son Morris Dailey Kelley, Jr. "Mar D" (Mandy) 1 sister Betty Quinn of Sturgis, KY, 6 grandchildren Chad Farley, Jenna Farley, Gracey Kelley, Meredith Kelley, Hyatt Kelley and Brooke Stokes, 3 great-grandchildren Jack Farley, Major Farley and Ramiah Key.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 29, 2022 12:30 PM at Vanover Funeral Home with Brother Keith Fox officiating. Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, October 28, 2022 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM and 9:00 AM till service time on Saturday.
In lieu flowers memorial contributions can be made to Oddfellows Cemetery, c/o Jessica Mithcell, 750 Oscar Todd Rd., Clay, KY 42404.
