Becky (Beach)
Durban
April 29, 1952 – January 22, 2025
Rebecca "Becky" Sue Durban finally beat her long hard battle with cancer on January 22, 2025 at the age of 72 with her loved ones at her side.
She was born in Union County to the late Marvin "Rawhide" and Dot Beach on April 29, 1952.
Becky owned "Becky's Donut Shop" for approximately 3 years. Anyone who knew her, knew how much she loved owning that place. She retired from IAC, formerly known as Lear in 2021, after 27 years. One of the first employees there and one of the last ones to leave. Becky loved to work and had multiple side jobs throughout her life.
She loved her family and everyone around her knew it. Becky was the type of person to give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. She never met a stranger. Her grandkids were her pride and joy, and her favorite title was Nana B. Always on the go, she could never set still. She loved to craft. She took after her daddy well, always mowing someone else's yard and could fry some taters just like her momma. She attended Grace Baptist Church in Clay.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 25 years Jerry Durban and her step-son Jeff Hinton. Becky is survived by her son Brian Hinton (Julie) of Dixon, sister Sandy Jiles (Randall) of Jonesboro, AR, brother Leslie "Bubby" Beach of Morganfield, sister Missy Hosford of Olney, IL, step-mother Beverly Beach of Wheatcroft, 6 grandchildren Cory Durban (Lisa), Cynthia Durban (Travon), Kassandra Terrell (Dustin), Connor Durban (Katelyn), Lexi Hinton (Hunter), Madison Hinton, 6 great-grandchildren Zander and Owen Durban, Kylan Washington, Cody and Holden Terrell, Amelia Durban, multiple nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with Pastor Karen Franklin officiating. Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery in Clay. Visitation will be Friday, January 24, 2025 4:00 PM till 8:00 PM and 10:00 AM till service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Anthony's Hospice, 2410 South Green Street, Henderson, KY 42420.
