Billy Carrol Pride, 91 of Clay passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson.

Billy was born on October 11, 1931 in Clay to the late Frank James and Jewel Pride.

He graduated from Clay High School, was in the United States Air Force for 4 years, then attended Murray State University for 2 years, he is a lifetime member of the American Legion, was employed and retired from Whirlpool after 30 years and he was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years Helen of Clay, 2 sons Ray C. Pride of Chicago, IL, Charles Pride (Julie) of Bowling Green, 2 grandchildren Emily Sutton (Alex) and Will Pride both of Bowling Green., 2 brothers Rev. Laddie Pride (Angie) of Providence and Roy Pride (Sylvia) of Melbourne, FL.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 2, 2022  11:00 AM at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with Bro. Corey Rash officiating.  Burial to follow in Oddfellows Cemetery in Clay.  Visitation will be Tuesday, November 1, 2022 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM and Wednesday 9:00 AM till service time at the funeral home.
