Obituary

Bobbie Jean Braden, 86 of Clay passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Deaconess Midtown in Evansville, IN.

Jean was born in Clay on December 31, 1936 to the late Clyde and Emma DeHaven.

She was employed at Townsends Grocery Store as a clerk for over 17 years, she was a member of New Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Jack Braden in 2015 and 1 son Morris Braden in 2022.

Survivors include 2 daughters Carolyn Sterling (Memory) of Clay, Paula Alfred (Steve) of Providence, 3 sons Johnny Braden of Dixon, Ricky Braden of Henderson, Tim Braden (Kim) of Clay, 3 sisters Pat Beckner of Wheatcroft, Helen Pride of Clay, Sue Jones of Sturgis, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with Bro. Jimmy Sigler officiating.  Burial will be in Fraser-Blackwell Cemetery in Clay.  Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Vanover Funeral Home and 8:00 AM till service time on Wednesday.
