Carol "Hardrock" Stone, 85 of Clay passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at his residence.

Hardrock was born March 19, 1935 in Dixon to the late Houston and Gracie Stone.

He worked for Woodruff-Kyler Bridge Construction for many years he then was a coal miner and retired from Peabody Camp 2.  He was a member of Community Fellowship Church in Clay.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Sarah in April 2020.

Survivors include 3 daughters Maria Basham (James), Susan Newcom and Sandy Barnes all of Clay, 6 grandchildren Dustin Basham, Joshua Basham, Brandy Johannes (Josh), Brandon Prow, Sarah Beth Watson (Lee) and Angela Newcom, 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 3:00 PM at White Oak Cemetery in Clay with Bro. Earl Reeves officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Anthony's Hospice, 2410 South Green Street, Henderson, KY 42420
