Carolyn Sue (Harris) Gupton, 78 of Clay was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, November 11, 2024.

What a glorious reunion it must have been to meet again with her husband of 24 years, Jerry Gupton along with other loved ones that went before her, including her parents Richard Lee and Agatha Harris.

As a single mom for many years, Carolyn worked a variety of jobs to provide for her family.  She never shied away from a challenge.  Her many talents included being a carhop, working  at a pizza restaurant (where she made the best personal pan pizzas), cleaned houses, worked at the Hoover factory, the meat department at Sureway.  A couple of her most memorable jobs were driving a snow plow truck for the Webster County Road Department, being a hostess at the Opryland Hotel (for one day, she said that job was too fancy for her).  She finally got her retirement job at the Home Depot in Nashville, TN, where she got to see lots of country music singers and meet the true love of her life, Jerry.  They spent many years in the flea marketing business.  She never met a stranger.  She continued that love for people in the prayer room at Common Garments Ministry.  She enjoyed talking about Jesus to all who came in.
