Cecil Ray Simms, 83 of Providence passed away Friday, March 14, 2025 at Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson.

Cecil was born on February 16, 1942 in Nebo to the late Thomas and Vina Simms.

He was a licensed plumber and owned Simms Plumbing for over 50 years.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a great-granddaughter Victoria Vaughn.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years Pam, 2 daughters Wendy Simms of Providence and Cindy Taylor (Carroll Bass) of Fort Myers, FL, granddaughter Cassandra Vaughn, great-grandson Brandon McChesney and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation was chosen.  There will be no services at this time.

Vanover Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
