Obituary

Charles Douglas Riggs was born in Webster County, Kentucky on December 30, 1952.  He is preceded in death by his parents, William Rosco Riggs and Shirley McKinley Riggs, along with a sister, Sue Riggs, two half-brothers, Floyd Riggs and Donald Riggs, and three half-sisters, Dorothy L. Buckman, Evelyn Watkins, and Anna Brown.  Charles in survived by his sister, Grace Oliver (Audrey), a half-brother, Bill Riggs, along with many nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his very special caregivers, Rebecca Taylor, Dennis Horning, and Pam Davidson, of Allen County, Kentucky, who have loved and cared for him for more than 14 years.  Charles was a lover of the outdoors and enjoyed living on the lake with Rebecca and Dennis.  Charles would spend many weekends on a pontoon boat on Barren River Lake.  He also enjoyed vacationing in the Smoky Mountains.  Charles made a number of friends over the past few years and will be greatly missed by those who love him.

Graveside services will be Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Oddfellows Cemetery in Clay, KY with Bro. Corey Rash officiating.  Visitation will be Wednesday, August 17, 2022 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at J C Kirby & Son Funeral Chapel on Lovers Lane in Bowling Green, KY.
