Christopher Nathan Huckleby, 54 of Providence passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at his home.

Chris was born on May 23, 1972 in Burkesville, KY to Ezra Huckleby and Emma Milam.

With the love of animals, Chris was a regular volunteer at the local Humane Society and his dedication to working with and caring for horses was exceptional. Chris never met a stranger and was willing to help a friend when needed.

Chris is preceded in death by his father Ezra Huckleby.

Survivors include 2 daughters Christin Autumn Thompson of Burkesville, Sydney Nicole Huckleby of Anderson, IN; 2 sons Caleb Nathan Huckleby of Anderson, IN and Joshua Lee Huckleby of Jesup, GA; his mother Emma Milam of Burkesville; 3 sisters Linda Gail Cain and Patty Ann Rush both of Burkesville and Cinda Kay Hurt of Bowling Green; 1 brother Jerry Sherman Rutherford of Murfreesboro, TN.

Cremation was chosen. There will be no services at this time.

Vanover Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
