Kenneth Don Curry, 88 of Providence passed away Saturday, January, 11, 2025 at Redbanks Nursing Home in Henderson.

Don was born in Providence on May 5, 1936 to the late Alvie and Margaret Newcomb Curry.  He was a coal miner and retired from Island Creek Coal Co. after 35 years. He was inducted to the 2017 Webster County High School Athletic Hall of Fame for Football and Track. He enjoyed Quail hunting and field trials. Don was a member of Masonic Lodge #148 in Providence, KY.  Don attended Providence General Baptist Church.  Survivors include his wife of 69 years Mona, 3 daughters Darona Higdon (Coy) of Slaughters, Jana Ranes (Greg) of Onton and Trina Warford (Tony) of Clay, 6 grandchildren Tara Howard (Patrick), Brandon Higdon (Amy), Barrett Ranes (Abby), Bayley Ranes, Rylee Warford, Ryan Warford, 7 great-grandchildren Colton Howard, Kelby Howard, Keirsten Howard, Landon Higdon, Ryder Ranes, Elijah Ranes and Samuel Ranes.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Vanover Funeral Home with Brother Barry Cullen and Greg Ranes officiating.  Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery in Marion.  Visitation will be Wednesday, January 15, 2025 10:00 AM till service time at the funeral home.
