Edward "D-Bug" Dawayne Nelson, 37 of Clay passed away Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Deaconess Midtown, Evansville.

Edward was born in Princeton on July 19, 1986 to the late Ray and Shirley Nelson.

Edward has been a volunteer fire fighter in Wheatcroft and Clay Fire Departments.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a sister Maria Kellems and a daughter Braxleigh Nelson.

Survivors include his wife of 14 years Shakota, 2 children Aubriana and Anthony Nelson, a sister Christalgene Lucas all of Clay, a brother William Altmeyer (Vince) of Robards, brother-in-laws David Wilson, Jr. (Kelsey) of Clay, Justin Wilson of Sebree, Austin Atwood of Evansville and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial service Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church in Clay with Brother Ronnie Gibson officiating.

Visitation Thursday 11:00 AM till service time at the church.
