Evelyn Tapp 84, of clay passed away Tuesday, august 4, 2026 at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.
Evelyn was born in Madisonville on July 23, 19421 to the late Thomas and Mary Young.
Evelyn loved to crochet, make jewelry, cooking, baking and making candy; she was very talented and could play any string instrument; she loved her children and grandchildren but mostly loved the Lord.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death daughter Teresa Lovell, son Johnny Baize, and two son-in-law’s J L Spink and Etna Gamblin.
Survivors include 3 daughters Angela Baize and Veronica Spink both of Dixon, Mona Gamblin of Clay; son Loman Baize (Lori) of Providence; sister Connie Offutt of Lexington; 16 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 7, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with Brother Gerald Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Dixon. Visitation will be Friday 10:00 AM till service time at the funeral home.
