Obituary

Freddy Marlin Clark, 87 of Dixon passed Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at his home surrounded by family.

Freddy was born in Wheatcroft to the late Charlie and Hattie Clark on July 29, 1937, he was a coal miner for 44 years and retired from Peabody Camp 1.  He was a member of Wheatcroft Cumberland Presbyterian Church, member of UMWA, Jachin Lodge #739.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by 3 sisters Myrtle Darrington, Hilda Beckner and Norita Jo Clark and 4 brothers Charlie Clark, John "Tunney" Clark, William "Waldie " Clark and Wendell Clark.

Survivors include a daughter Marla Jo Watkins (Tracy) of Kuttawa and grandson Robbie Crafton of Dixon and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Wheatcroft Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Wheatcroft.  Reverend Dale Williams and Reverend Dr. Jeff Clark will be officiating.  Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery in Clay.  Visitation will be Friday, February 14, 2025 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay and 9:00 AM till service time at the church on Saturday. There will be Masonic Service at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
