Gary Wayne Jones, 70 of Madisonville passed away Friday, March 27, 2026 at Deaconess Gateway in Newburgh.

Gary was born on May 11, 1955 in Evansville to the late Wayne and Joyce Jones.

Gary was a mechanic and was a member of the Shady Grove Masonic Lodge #559 F & AM in Shady Grove.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Donna; grandson Taelor Morse; great-granddaughter Braxlyn Prowell.

Survivors include 4 daughters Tina Jones of Alabama, Sherrie Sherrill (Steve), Jennifer Katich (Randall), Elizabeth Shaffer (Austin) all of Madisonville; son Steven Jones (Rachelle) of Corydon; 3 sisters Debbie Dickerson (Kerry) of Princeton, Barbara Dunbar (Doug) of Dawson Springs, Stacey Osborn (Phillip) of Clay; 3 brothers Terry Jones (Tina of Eddyville, Greg Jones (Johnna) and Mike Jones both of Providence; 18 grandchildren Samantha Belt, Alexander Morse (Brittney), Brandon Morse, Jessica Pendley (Kris), Hayley Lemmons (Michael), Mason Katich, Randall Katich, Joshua Katich, Alex Sherrill, Chloe Schroeder, Leim Schroeder, Rayne Schroeder, Zachary Shaffer, Aria Shaffer, Ellie Jones, Jayden Williams, Allyson Williams, Ryan Williams; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; last but not least Gary's best friend his dog "Snuggles."

There will be Masonic Rites at 12:45 PM Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay, directly following Masonic Rites the funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM at Vanover Funeral Home.  Burial will be in New Clay Cemetery.  Visitation will be 10:00 AM till service time at the funeral home.
