George Alan Short, 41 of Clay, KY passed away Saturday October 10, 2015 at his home. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a truck driver for Hutchinson Trucking Co.. He was preceded in death by his father Franklin Short in 2009. He is survived by his wife Melissa Short of Clay, KY., 2 daughters Amber Short and Charity Short both of Clay, KY..,1 Son Dustin Short of Clay, KY. Mother and Step Father Gloria and Randall McChesney of Madisonville, KY., 1 Sister April Williams of Smith Grove, KY., 2 Brothers Nathan McChesney of Providence, KY and Johnathan McChesney of Clay, KY., 1 Step-brother William "Bill" Short of Sacramento, KY. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday October 14, 2015 2:30 PM at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay, KY with Bro. Mike Putman and Bro. Ronnie Gibson officiating and burial to follow in Oddfellows Cemetery in Clay, KY. Friends May call Wednesday 10:30 Am till service time at the funeral home.
