Goodloe Nathan Cecil, 90, of Clay, KY passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014 at his home. He was a lifelong member of Heidelburg Baptist Church in Heidelburg, KY. He retired from the U.S. Army.  He was a Staff Sergeant in World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife Wanda in 2006. Survivors include 1 Daughter Shelia(Earl) Gamblin of Clay, KY 1 Son Kennith(Vicky) Cecil of Ferndale, Washington 1 Sister Nettie Delk of Avon Park, FL.,  6 Grandchildren Sherri(Troy) Grant of Clay, KY Karen(Scott)  Shoulders of Clay, KY Kim(Ray) Snider of Clay, KY.,  Chris(Tanya) Cecil of California Greg Cecil of Washington, Shaun(Jennifer) Cecil Princeton, KY 14 Great-grandchildren Lauren, Lindsey and Lukas Grant- Trevor, Zach and Sydney Shoulders, Corey Snider, Kyle, Jessica, Alliyah, Brandon, Kristen, Isabelle, and John Perry Cecil. Funeral services will be Friday, June 13, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay, KY with Bro. Jimmy Sigler officiating with burial to follow in New Hopewell Cemetery in Clay, KY, where full military honors will be conducted. Visitation will be Thursday, June 12, 2014 4:00 to 8:00 PM and from 8:00 AM til service time on Friday at Vanover Funeral Home.
