James Beckner, 79, of Clay, KY passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Princeton Health and Rehab in Princeton, KY.

James was born to Charlie and Lila Beckner on December 31, 1938 in Crittenden County.

James retired from the Air Force after 22 years.  He was a Vietnam veteran.  After retiring from the military James worked and later retired from the U.S Postal service in Arkansas.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years Patsy, 4 sons Matthew Beckner of Mexico, Steve Knight and Charles Knight and Chris Hinton all of Wheatcroft. 1 half sister Alice Mae Beckner of Evansville, IN 2 brothers Kenneth Beckner of Marion and Johnny Beckner of Clay and 2 granddaughters Kaylie Thomas and Chyenne Knight.

Graveside service will be Friday, September 21, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Oak Grove Cemetery in Blackford with Bro. Dale Williams officiating.

Vanover Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
