James Henry Gibson 94, of Clay, KY passed away at his home Monday April 5, 2021.
James was born December 18, 1926 to the late Fred and Sudie Gibson. James was a WW II Army veteran and was a coal miner retiring from Peabody Coal CO. He was preceded in death by his Wife Edith in 2008 and 1 Son Frankie Gibson in 2016.
He is survived by 5 Daughters Janie McBride (Jack), Vonda Hargrove, Vickie Kurtz all of Clay, KY., Nancy Tweddell of Lafayette, IN, and Donna McBride (Larry, Jr.) of Providence, KY. 4 Sons James Wesley Gibson, Gary Michael Gibson, Randy Keith Gibson, Tony Joe Gibson (Dawn) all of Clay, KY. 1 Brother Larry Leon Gibson of Clay, KY. Many Grand, Great Grand Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday April 8, 2021 1:00 PM at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay, KY with Bro. Ronnie Gibson officiating and burial to follow in Oddfellows Cemetery in Clay, KY.
Visitation will be Wednesday 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Thursday 8:00 AM til service time at the funeral Home.
