James "Pin-Up" McVay, 78 of Clay, KY passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017 at his home.

He was a coal miner and worked at Island Creek for 33 years.

He was of the Pentecostal faith.

He is preceded in death by his wife Mary in 2006 and 1 daughter Delta McVay 2 Sons Quinton McVay and Marty Zollinger and 1 Grandson William Woodring.

Survivors include 1 Son James Matthew McVay of Wheatcroft, KY 4 Daughters Nina Mae McVay of Providence, KY Mary Beth Hall and Samantha Harmon both of Clay, KY and Felicia Davis of Kansas Several Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay, KY with Bro. E.J. Hatton officiating.  Burial will be in Lisman Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday, February 27, 2017 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Vanover Funeral Home and on Tuesday 8:00 AM til service time at the funeral home.
