James William Ray Matthews, 29 of Henderson passed away Friday, January 1, 2021.

James was born May 3, 1991 in Madisonville to Robert and Susan Matthews.

James and his father worked together at Matthews Heating and Air in Henderson.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents James Arthur Fulcher and Dolly June Fulcher.

Survivors include his wife of 5 years Chelsei Matthews, son Gabriel Myers Matthews, daughter Alyssa Myers Matthews, his parents Robert and Susan Matthews all of Henderson, 1 sisters Jessica Nicole Mitchell of Checotah, OK, grandparents Robert Matthews and Roy and Judith Tudor, mother–in-law Melissa Onyett, Uncle James Fulcher (Debbie) and 2 special nieces Juna Marie Mitchell and Chevelle Rose Myers.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with Pastor Bill Schwartz officiating.  Burial will be in Shady Grove in Poole.  Visitation will be Wednesday 10:00 AM til service time at the funeral home.
