Joretta Nakomis (Blackwell) Clark of Clay, KY passed on Sunday evening, February 9, 2025. She was a generous hostess, an acclaimed cook, and an elder in the Wheatcroft Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

She was born in 1930 and was preceded in death by her husband of more than fifty-four years William "Waldie" Clark, her mother Lillian Blackwell, her father Bennie Blackwell, siblings Jean, J.T., Joyce, and Tommy. She is survived by her children Jeff Clark and Jennifer Williams (Dale); grandchildren Randy Clark (Leigh Anne), Alisha Gallagher (Lee), Dayla Williams, Leslie Dunigan (Heath), Adrienne Roestel (Christian), and Annalyse Clark; great-grandchildren Dalton Nelson (Morgan), Nathan Clark, Ashleigh Clark, Aiden Dunigan, Caroline Roestel, Alexandra Roestel, and Elizabeth Roestel; and one great-great-grandchild, Deacon Nelson.

Funeral services will be Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Wheatcroft Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Wheatcroft. Rev. Jeff Clark and Rev. Dale Williams will be officiating the service.  Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday, February 12, 2025 4:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay and 9:00 Am till service time at the church on Thursday.
