Larry Wayne Harris, 73 of Clay passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson.

Larry was born on June 30, 1949 in Providence to the late Richard and Agatha Harris.

He was in the United States Marines and was in Vietnam. He retired from Island Creek after 30 years, he was a life time member of Jack McDowell VFW Post 5484 in Providence and American Legion Post 283 in Clay and he was a member of Pentecostal Prayer Chapel in Providence.

Survivors include wife of 50 years Bertha, a daughter Tracy Harris, 2 sons Timmy Harris (Crystal), Larry "Spanky" Harris II all of Clay, 2 sisters Linda Gibson (Mike) of Sturgis, Carolyn Gupton of Clay, 5 grandchildren Tyler, Mataya (Jacob), Ava, Michael, Sophie and 1 great-grandchild Jayden.

Funeral services will be Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with Bro. Phillip Dunning and Bro. Mike Putman.  Burial will be in New Clay Cemetery with Military Honors at the gravesite.  Visitation will be Wednesday, September 21, 2022 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and 9:00 AM till service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
