Larry Dale Light, 69, of Dixon, KY passed away Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. He was of Baptist faith and was a member of Garten Baptist Church in West Virginia. He worked as a mine construction superintendent for various construction companies. He is preceded in death by his father William Henry Light in 1971 his mother Isabel Henly Light in 1996 and his daughter Angela Dawn Light in 2004. He is survived by his wife Sharon of 28 years of Dixon, KY, 3 Sons Larry Dale Light, Jr. Jason Parker of Madisonville, KY and Jeremy Parker and his wife Miranda of Dixon, KY 1 Daughter Laurie Phillips and her husband Dave of Dixon, KY 2 Sisters Ruth Vegh of Ravenwood, West Virginia and Helen Bryant of Fayetteville, West Virginia 5 Brothers Charles "Don" Light McHerrin, Virginia, Thomas Light of Fayetteville, West Virginia, George Light of Greensboro, North Carolina, Ronald Light of Nottaway, Viriginia and Jack Light of Manson, Virginia.  Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law Dale and Susan Darnell of Dixon, KY 7 grandchildren Emily Darnell, Cody Phillips, Dalton Phillips, Shay Phillips, Brynn Melton, Garrett Blevins and Colton Blevins. Funeral services will be Sunday, August 31, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay, KY with Bro. Earl Reeves officiating.  Burial to follow in New Clay Cemetery in Clay, KY.  Visitation will be Saturday, August 30, 2014 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home and 9:00 AM Sunday morning til service time at the funeral home.
