Lawrence Eugene "Gene" Gilliam, 79 of Sebree passed December 3, 2024 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville. Gene was born on June 27, 1945 in Wyandotte MI. to the late Lawrence and Lucille Gilliam. He worked at Watson Brothers in Madisonville where he was a Tool and Die maker. He was a member of The Hiram Masonic Lodge.  He was a member of New Life Missionary Baptist Church in Cairo, KY. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by 2 sons Mike and Tony Gilliam, several brothers, and a sister.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years Mildred, 1 son Danny Gilliam(Mindy) of Houston TX, 2 daughters Lisa Winstead of Dixon, Missy Meadows of Sebree, 1 brother Larry Gilliam(Vivian) of Rockwood MI, 3 grandchildren Paul Gilliam, Matt Gilliam, Miranda Gilliam, 3 grandchildren Jaylen Winstead, Austin Matthews, Kyle Meadows and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday December 6, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Vanover Funeral Home with Brother Randy Durham officiating. Burial will be in Rocksprings Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM till service time.
