Lou Evelyn Hoffman, 85 of Merriville, IN passed away on December 25, 2025 at her home in Merriville, IN. Lou was born on May 29, 1940 in Clay, KY to the late Woodrow and Blanche Marks. She attended Sulphur Springs Baptist Church in Mexico, KY.  She is preceded in death by her son John Hoffman in 2016 and her husband Charles Hoffman in 2020.

Survivors include her daughter Lisa Hoffman (Roger Cook) of Merriville, IN; 3 sons David Hoffman of Marion, KY, Mark Hoffman(April) of Pelzer, SC, Matthew Hoffman (Michele) of Port Collins, CO; 1 sister Mary Shows of Biloxi, MS, 8 grandchildren Dannielle Hoffman, Joanna Savickas, Jonathan Hoffman, Patrick Hoffman, Joann Hoffman, Abigail Hoffman, Colby Ballard, Gage Hoffman, and 7 great-grandchildren. Cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
