Mary Martha Douglas, 71 of Wheatcroft passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Deaconess Henderson Hospital.

Mary was born April 2, 1950 in Towncreek, AL.

She was a coal miner and retired from Island Creek Coal.  She was a member of grace Baptist Church in Clay.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Melvin Douglas, Sr. in 2012, 2 granddaughters Keyleigh and Saria Douglas in 2004 and a brother James Allen.

Survivors include 1 daughter Shirley Miller and 1 son Melvin Douglas, Jr. "Joe Joe" both of Wheatcroft, 3 sisters Essie Lawrence, Courtland, AL, Nebo King of Sturgis, Yvonne Culprson of Chattanooga, TN, 2 brothers Richard Allen and Frank King both of Towncreek, AL, 4 grandchildren Faith Miller, Feather Miller, Filana Miller, Derrick Douglas and 3 great-grandchildren Devontae, Kemaria and Bryson Douglas.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church in Clay with Brother Ronnie Gibson officiating.  Visitation will be Tuesday 10:00 AM til service time at the church.  Burial will be Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Jones Cemetery in Towncreek, AL.
