Mary Jeanette Carrigan, 74 of Clay passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023 at Nortons Healthcare Pavilion in Louisville.

Mary was born in Bordley on May 17, 1949 to the late Sidney and Emma Harris Sr.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her son Ryan Garrett in 2020, 1 sister Patricia Sanders, 2 brothers Michael Wayne Harris and Sidney Harris, Jr.

Survivors include 1 daughter Marilyn Garrett, 1 son Marty Garrett both of Clay, 2 sisters Kaye Gill (Donald) of Morganfield, XAnn Sheely of Sturgis, 2 grandchildren Jared Garrett, Amber Garrett, 4 great-grandchildren Liam and Aire Garrett, Adyline Day and Aliza Scarlett. Mary was laid to rest in Rosebud Cemetery in Mattoon.

There will be a bereavement dinner for the Carrigan family on December 16, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Redeeming Love General Baptist Church Life Center in Clay.

Vanover Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
