Mary Lou Forbes, 87 of Slaughters passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025 at Shemwells Nursing Home in Providence.

Mary Lou was born in Wheatcroft to the late Chester and Mary Winfred Tudor on October 3, 1937.  She was a doctors assistant at Trover Clinic for many years and she was a member of Slaughters Baptist Church in Slaughters.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by an infant brother William Elvis Tudor, a granddaughter Hayley Forbes and great-grandson Garrett Stacy.

Survivors include her husband Terry Forbes of Slaughters, 3 daughters LuAnne Capps McClanahan (Kenny) of Grundy, VA, Dr. Sandra Capps of Nortonville, Teri Nix (Jonathan) of Madisonville; 3 sons Jim Capps (Pam) of Thomson, GA, Dr. Gregory Capps (Virginia) of Roanoke, VA, Nathan Forbes of Madisonville; 2 sisters Cindy Wonders (Michael) of Evansville, IN, Lorrie Soriano (Isidro) of Maui. HI; 1 brother Roy Carlton Tudor (Sadie) of Madisonville; 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with Brother Len Young officiating.  Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery in Madisonville.  Visitation will be Monday, July14, 2025 at Vanover Funeral Home 4:00 PM till 8:00 PM and 9:00 AM till service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
