Matthew Don Dishman, 37 of Clay passed away Thursday, May 7, 2020 at his residence.

Matthew was born January 28, 1983 in Henderson to Donnie and Ellen Dishman.

He graduated from Webster County High School in 2001. He was in the United States Army where he served 18 months in Iraq and 6 months in Afghanistan.  Matthew was very patriotic.  He loved his family dearly and was very partial to his niece Adalynn and his nephew Nelson. He loved pugs and also enjoyed watching UK basketball and Alabama football and he loved the Green Bay Packers.

Matthew is preceded in death by his grandparents Don and Anne Dishman and Brian and Sue Emma Hughes.

Along with his parents survivors include 2 sisters Kelsie Dishman of Clay and Katie Faulkner (Jeremy) of Anniston, AL niece Adalynn and nephew Nelson and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Private funeral services will be held.  Burial will be in New Clay Cemetery in Clay.
