Melba Samples Culley Pritchett, 94 passed away July 5, 2024 at Breckinridge Place in Morganfield.
She was born on February 1, 1930 to the late James Edward and Blonnie Mae (Dixon) Samples in Henderson.
Melba was a lifetime Christian and was cherished by family and friends.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husbands John Al Pritchett in 1973 and Robert E. Culley in 2008, her son Sam Pritchett in 2022, two sisters Elsie Bickell and Elaine Byrd.
Survivors include 1 daughter Gaye Powell (Ronald) of Little Dixie, 3 sons Glenn Pritchett, Al Pritchett (Vickie), Darwin Pritchett (Lisa) all of Clay, daughter-in-law Pam Pritchett of Henderson, grandchildren Erin Blackburn (Vinson), Leslee Parish (Opie), Keri Shouse (Chad), Shelley Davis (Kyle), Donna White (Anthony), Walter Denton (Jenny), Morgan Powell (Alex Durand), Victoria Brown (Mason), Katlin Kupser (Tyler), Jordan Woodring (Alan), Brennen Pritchett, Hannah Floyd (Kyler), Leah Pritchett (Jonathan Childers), Sarah Sherwood (Caleb), Dane Hust (Lauren), Evan Hust (Whitney Ressett), great-grandchildren Jaylin, Seth, Isaac, Kaytee, Karsen, Kyndal, Henry, Grant, Norah, Elsie, Denton, Ava, Knox, Paxley, Pace, Sadie, Dawson, Judah, Wells and great-great-grandchild Maggie.
Funeral services will Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with Opie Parish and Ronald Powell officiating. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson. Visitation will be Monday, July 8, 2024 4:00 PM till 8:00 PM at the Vanover Funeral Home and Tuesday 9:00 AM till service.
