Morris Ray Riggs, 79 of Clay passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Redbanks Colonial Terrace in Sebree.
Morris was born on August 9, 1944 in Clay to the late A.Y. Riggs and Vida Overfield Riggs.
He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Clay.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife Brenda Riggs, son Jon Michael Riggs both in 2007 and brother Wayne Riggs.
Survivors include his wife of 13 years Linda, daughter Tonya Riggs Sandberg of Dixon, son Greg Riggs (Shelley) of Princeton, 1 step-son James Galbraith (Brittney), 2 brothers James Lyndal Riggs (Peggy) and Terry Riggs (LuAnne) both of Henderson, 12 grandchildren Jon Riggs (Kristen), Allie Creekmur (Josh), Trevor Hix, Marcie Murrell (John), Amanda Fletcher (Nathan), Gregory Riggs, Jr. (Hannah), Brendan Conrad (Shelby), Justin Conrad (Hailey), Bradley Sandberg (Ella), Annabelle Riggs, Madilyn Riggs, Austin Riggs, 2 step-grandsons Peyton Galbraith and DeJean Samuel, 19 great-grandchildren Kendee, Katelyn, Bentley, Blakley, Rowan, Luna, Lincoln, Brianna, Noah, Gant, Brodi Grace, Kyder, Marley, Molly, Graham, Eli, Jaycee, Dorothy and Oliver.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church in Clay with Bro. Ronnie Gibson officiating. Burial will be in New Clay Cemetery in Clay. Visitation will be Monday, October 2, 2023 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church and 9:00 AM till service time on Tuesday at the church.
