It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Calvin Neal Dame of Hanson, KY.

Neal, as he was lovingly known by his family and friends, was born on August 18, 1960 and passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, March 8, 2024.

He was a member of Slaughters United Methodist Church.  Preceding him in death are his parents Trilby (Brown) and James C. Dame, Sr., his brother and sister-in-law James C. (Junior) Dame, Jr., Cynthia Dame and step-son Michael R. Steele.

Neal will be greatly missed by his wife and best friend Karin B. Dame, step-son and daughter-in-law Kevin and Maranda Steele and by the joys of his life, his grandchildren!

His sister and brother-in-law Teresa and Bruce Benson, brother Scott Dame, cousins, nieces, nephews and their families.  By his in-laws from Germany, the Schmitt, Mattea and Will families. Also, by his friend for life Chris Knight and by his many good friends and neighbors.

A simple and honest man with a good heart, Neal left us with these words: Life is still good!

Graveside services will be Sunday, March 24, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Old Salem Cemetery in Hanson.  Brother Shaun Vickery and Danny Ashby will be officiating.
