James Norman "Norm" Venson, 86, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at home.

Norm was born January 12, 1933 in Anton, Kentucky to the late Henry and Annie (Devine) Venson.  On October 29, 1966 he married Linda Sue Thompson in Springfield, TN.  His hobbies included fishing, hunting, boating, and puzzles.  He also enjoyed playing cards with his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Norm was preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda June Irwin; brothers Ray, Art, David, Earl, Cashel; sisters, Louise, Mary and Anna Bet.

Norm is survived by his wife of 53 years Linda Sue; daughters, Jamie Lyn (Troy) of Boca Raton, FL, Wendy Metz (Bob) of Oaklyn, NJ; son, Norm Venson of Wheatcroft, KY; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Bobbie June Bitner of Evansville, IN; nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Saturday, November 30th at 10:00 AM at New Clay Cemetery in Clay, Kentucky with Pastor Dale Williams officiating.  A celebration of life luncheon will be held immediately following the burial at the Wheatcroft Fire Department/Community Center, 32 Main Street, Wheatcroft, Kentucky 42463.  Those wishing to sign Norm's on-line Tribute Wall may do so at www.vanovefuneralhome.com
