Paul Eugene Ray, 85 of Clay passed away Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Redbanks Colonial Terrace under the care of St. Anthony's Hospice in Sebree.

Paul was born on September 16, 1938 in Providence to the late Eurie and Mary Pearl Hill.  He was of the Baptist faith, he was a coal miner and retired from Dotiki and he loved to hunt and fish.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Kathryn, daughter Anita Adams and son Brian Ray.

Survivors include 2 daughters Paula Mayes of Providence, Joni Brown of Clay, son Paul "Tony" Ray (Roxanna) of Clay, 2 sisters Sara Lou Hodges (Gene), Naomi Alexander both of Providence, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with Brother Frank Hill officiating.  Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Providence.  Visitation will be Tuesday 10:00 AM till service time at the funeral home.
