Richard Wayne Hess, Sr.

Richard Wayne Hess, Sr., 91 of Clay passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at Redbanks Skilled Nursing Center in Henderson.

Richard was born in Princeton on March 4, 1935. He was an U.S. Army Veteran; he was a truck driver; was a member of Community Fellowship Church in Clay. He is preceded in death by his wife Barbara Carol Hess.

Survivors include a son Richard Hess, Jr. (Lisa) of Clay; 2 daughters Ronda Eaton (David) of Evansville, Ricca Guess (Don) of Fredonia; 2 brothers Raymond Teague (Barbara) of Providence, Doug Crisp of Princeton; 1 sister Donna Kay Stewart (Brent) of Princeton; 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday, September 28, 2026 at 12;00 PM at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with Brother Earl Reeves officiating. Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
