Rickie Alan Curry

Rickie Alan Curry, aged 75, of Evansville and formerly of Providence, departed this world on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at St. Vincent in Evansville.

Born at Cardwell Hospital in Providence on August 29, 1950, to the late Guy and Frances Curry, Rickie led a remarkable life filled with cherished memories and achievements. A proud graduate of Providence High School in 1968 and the University of Kentucky in 1972, his career took him through roles at Coffman's IGA with his brother Frankie Clayton, and Ruby Concrete. With great dedication, he was a math tutor for the state of Kentucky; he was employed at the Institute of Electronic Technology. His professional journey culminated at LabCorp, where he began as a courier in 1990 and retired as regional director in 2003. Alongside Larry Hogan, he also enjoyed 16 memorable years managing Songbird Entertainment.

Rickie was a devoted fan of the University of Kentucky and excelled in bowling until physical limitations curtailed his participation. Known for his vivacious spirit, Rickie had an insatiable love for travel, an affinity for meeting new people, and a passion for cooking. His gatherings were legendary, filled with laughter and stories, underpinned by his belief that "the more, the merrier." His mantra of "Live, Laugh, Love" defined his approach to life, highlighting his infectious sense of humor and love for a good joke.

Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Frankie Clayton and Jackie Clayton and nephew Jason Clayton. He is survived by John Curry, Terry Hardin, and Brayden Knight, all of Evansville; sisters-in-law Lois Clayton of Madisonville and Ruth Ann Clayton of Providence; nephews Mark Clayton (Angie) and Kevin Clayton(Holly); great-nephew; 3 great-nieces;

 many great-great-nephews and nieces. The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to Mark and Pam Farber, countless cousins, and friends for their enduring love and support.
