William Robert May, 84 of Providence passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.

Robert was born in Providence on August 3, 1939 to the late William A. and Fonda May.

He was in the United States Navy during the Lebanese Crisis, he worked at Whirlpool and retired from there after 32 years.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death 2 brothers James May and Harold May.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years Reva, daughter Tammy Holt (Dale) all of Providence, son Robert May of Clay, 2 brothers Kenneth May and Shirley Ross May both of Providence, 6 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be Monday, May 13, 2024 at 3:30 PM at White Oak Cemetery in Clay.

Vanover Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
