Roger Michael Burton

Roger Michael Burton, 50, of Henderson, formerly of Wheatcroft, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at his home. Roger was born in Henderson, KY, on August 1, 1976, to the late Donald and Marilu Burton. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandparents R.L. and Ima Dorris Burton. He was a 1995 graduate of Webster County High School. Roger had a love for reading. He read the bible thru 3 times and read various other books. He enjoyed watching football and especially loved watching Monday night wrestling, which was his soap opera. He was previously a member of Philadelphian Christian Church. Roger had planned to work in the welding industry until his life-changing accident in 1993. Roger was a counselor at Camp Hope, which is a camp for children ages 6-16 with burn injuries at Vanderbilt Hospital. Survivors include 1 brother, Kenton Burton; 2 uncles, Roger Mack Burton and Bobby Meadows, all of Henderson, KY, and multiple cousins. 

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Vanover Funeral Home with Brother Dale Williams officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM till service time.
