Ronald Earl Dunbar, 84 of Providence passed away Sunday, March 23, 2025 at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.

Ronnie was born in Providence on June 10, 1940 to Ivan and Kathleen Dunbar.

Ronnie was a coal miner and retired from Pyro Mining. He was an avid pheasant hunter and took yearly hunting trips to Kansas, he also enjoyed golfing and watching UK basketball and any other sports on television.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a brother David Dunbar.

Survivors include 1 daughter Laurie Stinnett (Greg) of Clay, 1 son Brad Dunbar of Providence, 1 sister Barbara Cates of Madisonville, 3 grandchildren Seth Stinnett (Jena), Lauren Yesh (Trent), Lindsey Royster (Jon), 6 great-grandchildren Landon Stinnett, Thea Stinnett, Sadie Stinnett, Liam Yesh, Audrey Yesh and Eleanor Royster.

Graveside services will be Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Providence with Brother Robert White officiating.
