Ronald Dale Hopper, 71 of Wheatcroft passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025 at his home after a long illness under the care of St. Anthony's Hospice.

Ronnie was born in Morganfield to the late Claude and Barbara Hopper Jr. on December 14, 1953.  He was a coal miner for 36 years at Dotiki Mines. Ronnie always had a smile on his face and enjoyed watching UK basketball and he loved the Andy Griffith Show.

Along with his parents Ronnie is preceded in death by a grandson Jadin Deno.

Survivors include his wife of 18 years June Hinton Hopper, 3 daughters Ronna Hopper of Clay, Julie Peterson (Jason) of Owensboro, Haley Hopper of Henderson; brother Kerry Hopper of Wheatcroft; 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with Chaplain Bert Montgomery officiating.  Visitation will be Thursday 11:00 AM till service time at the funeral home.
