Sharon "Sheri" Griffin Mitchell, 68, of Clay, Kentucky passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, July 19, 2021.

Sheri was born in Henderson on June 28, 1953 to the late Oscar and Ann Griffin.

She was a nurse at Webster County Family Medicine in Dixon for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Clay.  She loved her all of her family especially her grandchildren. Sheri also had a love for boating and going to the beach.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by two sisters Patricia Griffin and Cathy Hargis.

Survivors include her husband John of 50 years, 1 daughter Katie Shelton (Derek), 2 sons Shane Mitchell (Jessica) and Brad Mitchell (Lindsey) all of Clay, 1 brother Randy Griffin (Lisa) of Providence 14 grandchildren Madelyn, Ashley and Luke Mitchell, Maddie Paige, Landon Leslie and John Brent Shelton, Lauren Hise (Lucas), Lani, Gracyn, Jenna, Brooke, Lily, Caroline and Jack Mitchell and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 23, 2021 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Clay with Bro. James Taylor and Bro. Corey Rash officiating.  Visitation will be Thursday, July 22, 2021 at First Baptist Church from 3:00 PM til 8:00 PM and 9:00 AM til service time on Friday.
