Tommy Wayne Carlisle, 74 of Henderson passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021 at his home.
Tommy was born in Henderson on December 23, 1946 to the late Andrew and Flossie Carlisle.
Tommy was in the United States Army and was in the Vietnam War. He was a specification engineer and was employed at Eaton/Dana Corp. for 37 years.
He attended Countryview Baptist Church in Henderson.
Tommy was very proud of being a U.S. Army veteran and he loved spending time with and spoiling his grandchildren, he was a very loving husband, father and grandfather.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters L.D. Carlisle, Carroll Wilson, Ed Wilson, Geraldine Watson and Helen Wilson.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years Elizabeth Ann, 2 daughters Dawn Newcom (Steven) of Sullivan and Dana Carlisle of Henderson, 3 grandchildren Andrew Newcom, Lilianne Newcom and Broderick Carlisle, and 1 brother Jimmy Wilson of Henderson.
Memorial services will be Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Countryview General Baptist Church in Henderson with Bro. Randy Duncan officiating. There will be Military Rites at Smith Mills Cemetery following the memorial service. Visitation will be Saturday 9:30 AM til service time at the church.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Anthony's Hospice, 2410 South Green St., Henderson, KY 42420 or Countryview Baptist Church, 2067 Gregory Dr., Henderson, KY 42420 envelopes will be available at the church.
Vanover Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
