Tracy B. Barnett, Jr.
Dec. 17, 1926 – Oct. 26, 2026
Tracy B. Barnett, Jr., a devoted Christian, husband, Dad, and Grandad, has received his heavenly reward! He was born in Carthage, Mississippi to Tracy and Prentice Barnett, just a little less than 100 years ago. Tracy was married for 76 years to Betty Heady Barnett, whom he loved and adored. His oldest daughter, Ronda Zeneri, his parents and siblings proceeded him in death. Tracy and Betty lived in Jeffersonville, Indiana, before moving to Clay, Kentucky in 2013 to live with their daughter, Robyn, and husband, Larry Todd. Tracy loved singing hymns and telling stories. He was a pastor, a song leader, a salesman, and a friend to all. He made the world a much better place with his kindness, smile, and servant’s heart. Everyone loved and admired him. Tracy loved to spend time with his grandchildren: Steve Zeneri, Melissa Zeneri Shanks, Graham Zeneri, Nick (Jennifer) Whitledge, and Mark (Lillie) Whitedge. His great grandchildren: Ainsley Shanks, Madalynn Shanks, Juli Shanks, Mylee Whitledge, Lucas Whitledge, and Avery Whitledge brought him so much joy. He will be greatly missed; however, we look forward to joining him in Heaven one day.
A graveside service will be held in Louisville, Kentucky at Cave Hill Cemetery at a later date.
